The Center for the Study of Information and Religion (CSIR) will host its Third Annual International Conference on Information and Religion in June 2013. This call for papers and posters seeks original contributions in a variety of areas in which scholars are exploring the intersections of religion and information. Topics that might be addressed include but are not limited to the following: * Defining and interpreting data and information in the understanding of religious knowledge; * The role of sermons in the social construction of knowledge; * The construction of shared knowledge between different faith traditions; * The social contexts of religious knowledge; * Preserving and making available religious texts and information objects associated with the construction of religious knowledge; * Social uses and appropriations made of these texts and objects; * Information in its application to clergy and congregations as communities of practice; * Faith and many types of intelligence (e.g., emotional intelligence, intellectual capital, etc.); * The application of academic theory in the understanding of religious knowledge; * Intersections of interests in the study of information and religion, where different disciplines might find it worthwhile to collaborate in research. Prospective participants are encouraged to submit abstracts that report on recent research and scholarship. Contributions to this call for papers should not have been previously published. We also welcome proposals for poster presentations. There are no restrictions on research methodology.

7th International Evidence Based Library and Information Practice Conference How are librarians and information professional using evidence to inform practice? The possibilities are endless! Across library sectors librarians around the world are consulting the research evidence in library and information studies (LIS) as well as other fields such as marketing, business, education, and management. Finding and applying research evidence is the hallmark of evidence based library and information practice. Librarians are also conducting research and adding valuable evidence to the LIS body of knowledge, engaging in knowledge transfer with their own research experiences. The 7th International Evidence Based Library and Information Practice conference is the place to come and participate in the EBLIP conversation. The International Program Committee for EBLIP7 invites you to submit abstracts for papers and posters for the conference to be held at the University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada from July 15 - 18, 2013. EBLIP7 is aimed at all library and information professionals from all disciplines and sectors. EBLIP7 will continue the tradition of offering a welcoming and supportive environment to all, whether newcomers or experienced practitioners of evidence based practice. Conference Themes Research papers, reviews of evidence, reports of innovative practice, hot topic discussion papers, and poster presentations are invited.

WWW and Internet had a huge development in recent years. Aspects of concern are no longer just technical anymore but other aspects have aroused. This conference aims to cover both technological as well as non-technological issues related to these developments. Main tracks have been identified (see below). However innovative contributes that don’t fit into these areas will also be considered since they might be of benefit to conference attendees. * Format of the Conference The conference will comprise of invited talks and oral presentations. The proceedings of the conference will be published in the form of a book and CD-ROM with ISBN, and will be available also in the IADIS Digital Library (http://www.iadis.net/dl). The best paper authors will be invited to publish extended versions of their papers in the IADIS International Journal on WWW/Internet (ISSN: 1645-7641) and also in other selected Journals. All submissions are subject to a blind refereeing process.

The conference will also aim at further strengthen the academic collaboration and strategic alliance in development of DL in the world. Theme of the conference is Vision 2020: Looking back 10 years and forging new frontiers. In recent past TERI had organized three major ICDL conferences during 2004, 2006 and 2010 which were proved to be useful tools to bridge digital divide between developed and developing countries.
