Professional Development Full- and half-day preconference sessions on Monday, May 14 include web accessibility led by David Berman, cataloguing with RDA, and board governance. You do not need to register for the conference to attend the pre-conference workshops. May 15 and 16 are full days of simultaneous sessions on hot-button topics such as ebook delivery, customer service, digital archiving, and commmunity outreach. Dr. Michael Geist of the University of Ottawa will deliver a keynote on Canada's latest round of legislative copyright reforms and the implications of Bill C-11 for educational groups and libraries. Networking Join friends and colleagues at a screening of the Cycling for Libraries 2011 documentary, an evening at the King's Head Pub (sponsored by the Association of Manitoba Book Publishers), and a gala dinner featuring Gene Ambaum and Bill Barnes, creators of the popular webcomic Unshelved (sponsored by the Manitoba Library Association).
