What does the future of libraries hold? Will we download books to our phones, net books, or project them into 3-D images from an electronic piece of jewelry? Will libraries continue to exist as places where people gather? Libraries have always adapted to the emerging needs of our communities: converting card catalogs to online databases, creating library websites, and offering Internet access as a basic service. We keep current with the latest formats, through phonograph records, paperbacks, comics, VHS, DVDs, playaways and downloadable books. If we have learned anything, we know that the future will bring challenges and change. What will those be? The 2011 AzLA Conference invites you to imagine the future of possibilities.
