OLC Convention and Expo
Ohio Libraries have been preeminent both nationally and locally for a very long time. Given the current and likely economic and political climate, is it reasonable that legislators and citizens ask why we need to be the “best” in the nation? Is being in the top third good enough? Middle of the pack? We say NO. Now more than ever, our communities need excellent libraries. And, it is up to us to make the case. Challenges present opportunities. During the 2011 Convention and Expo the entire library community will rally around this point. This premier educational event will showcase innovative ideas on advocacy, funding, trendspotting, transformational change, and remaining indispensable to our constituents. Programs will continue building on the greatness of libraries and inspire attendees to convey the value of their libraries to their communities.
