Featured Conference Speakers
ILA is delighted to announce that Paula Poundstone and Michael Cunningham will be among the featured speakers at this year's conference.
Emmy-award winning comedian Paula Poundstone will close the conference on Thursday, October 20. A strong supporter of libraries, Poundstone serves as national spokesperson for the Association of Library Trustees, Advocates, Friends and Foundations (ALTAFF), a division of American Library Association.
Michael Cunningham, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Hours, will keynote the 2011 Illinois Authors Dinner on October 18. The Illinois Authors' Dinner is also an opportunity to honor our home-grown authors. Click here for more information on sponsoring an author at this year's dinner.

Become actively involved in the conference by presenting a poster session or talk table on the ILA exhibit floor on Wednesday, October 19, or Thursday, October 20.
Poster sessions showcase successful research projects, display a grant, or present an innovative program from your library. Talk tables are informal one-hour discussions on pertinent topics, lead by a moderator.
