Bio:

I'm passionate about helping libraries transition through changes in our technological landscape. I believe that users come first, and keep my efforts focused directly on addressing their needs. I currently spend a lot of time thinking about mobile technologies, ebooks, gaming in education, and distance learning. I've spoken to a number of groups and conferences on these topics, and was honored to be named a 2011 Mover & Shaker by Library Journal. I'm currently the Emerging Technologies Librarian at UNC Chapel Hill. I don't consider myself a programmer, but do some light programming for the web as part of my work. I created and maintain the Mobile Site Generator at www.hiddenpeanuts.com/msg, and blog semi-regularly at www.hiddenpeanuts.com.
